Scary Kids Scaring Kids Information
Scary Kids Scaring Kids is a post-hardcore band. The current lineup of the group consists of Jordan Flower (bass), Peter Costa (drums and percussion), Pouyan Afkary (keyboards, backing vocals, piano, programming, and synthesizers), Chad Crawford (rhythm guitar and vocals), and Cove Reber (lead vocals). The name of the band was taken from the Cap’n Jazz song of the same name. After a farewell tour in 2010, and got reunited for their 15th-anniversary reunion tour in January 2020.
Scary Kids Scaring Kids released its self-financed debut EP entitled, After Dark, in 2003. It was their first publication, and the members were still studying in Highland High School at the time. They graduated from the school in 2003. The EP was re-released in 2005 through Immortal Records. The group was signed to Immortal Records and released its debut album entitled, The City Sleeps in Flames. The album was released on June 28, 2005, with producer Brian McTernan.
On August 28, 2007, Scary Kids Scaring Kids released its self-titled studio album in North Hollywood, California, produced by Don Gilmore. The band was awarded Best Noise/Screamo Band at the 2007 Arizona Ska Punk Awards Ceremony held in Phoenix, Arizona. The band has also made guest appearances on other’s albums, including Punk, Goes the 90s (2006), A Santa Cause: It’s a Punk Rock Christmas Vol. 2 (2006), and Punk Goes Crunk (2008).
