Santa Cruz Information
Santa Cruz is a Finnish-American hard rock band. The group's current lineup comprises Archie Cruz, Brody DeRozie, Luke Man, and Wade Murff. Santa Cruz was created in 2007 by Arttu Kuosmanen and Joonas Parkkonen, while bassist Mitja Toivonen came aboard in 2008. In 2008 and 2009, the band put out a pair of demos. After going through several fill-in drummers, the band finally decided on Taz Fagerström in 2009, making them a four-piece.
Anthems for the Young 'n' Restless, a self-released EP featuring six songs, led to the band's 2012 signing with Finnish label Spinefarm Records. Screaming for Adrenaline, the band's debut studio album was released in April 2013. In Finland, the album peaked at No. 27 on the chart. 2013, the band played concerts in the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Germany. Santa Cruz is the name of their second album, which came out in March 2015.
The band covered "Drag Me Down" by One Direction in late 2016. Bad Blood Rising, the band's third studio album, was released in November of 2017, and it includes the singles "River Phoenix" and "Young Blood Rising." The band reunited for their Hell And Heaven Open Air performance in Mexico on December 4, 2022, with guitarist Brody DeRozie, bassist Tommy Bradley, and new drummer Alex Mercado.
