Sandra Marie McCracken (June 16, 1977) is an American singer and songwriter. She resides in Nashville, Tennessee. McCracken is the founder of Nashville's Indelible Grace artist group. Having grown up in St. Louis, Missouri, McCracken attended Westminster Christian Academy. As a child, McCracken sang in the church choir, accompanied groups on the piano, sang solos in church and wrote new hymns for the congregation to sing. In 1999, McCracken graduated from Belmont University and began her musical career. Two of her albums, the Crucible and Gypsy Flat Road, were independently published in 2000 and 2001.
McCracken recorded Best Laid Plans with world-renowned producer Peter Collins and engineer Ray Kennedy in late 2003. McCracken signed the album to Dave Robinson's Shell Records in London in mid-2004. In the United Kingdom, Shell published the album, followed by two radio singles, "Last Goodbye" and "No More Tears," which garnered a lot of broadcast and attention in England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland.
McCracken started writing a spirituality and creativity column for Christianity Today in 2017. McCracken released the Steadfast podcast the same year. McCracken published the Patient Kingdom in 2020. She released the second season of the Steadfast podcast the following year with the theme of patience. McCracken's musical influences are Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Johnny Cash.
