Ricky and The Redstreaks is an American rock ‘n’ roll band that has played music for over 30 years. The group has long been called one of the professional rodeo’s favorite bands. Jackman and Brown are two original members who had rival bands in high school. When they founded Redstreaks, it was the biggest draw in town. Since then, the band has been a favorite on the rodeo circuit. Thousands of rodeo fans have been loyal to the Redstreaks for many years. The band was also signed to a Coors Brewing Co. sponsorship deal.
At a Ricky and The Redstreaks show, you never know who will show up on stage. Country superstar George Strait has joined the band multiple times. Chief Executive Officer Peter H. Coors also plays cowbells on stage occasionally. One of the frequent visitors is the three-time saddle bronc riding champion Wayne “Hawkeye” Henson. According to Brown, Ricky and The Redstreaks spend about 24 weeks a year on the road playing both non-rodeo and rodeo dates.
