Rhett Price Information
Rhett began performing publicly when he was just four years old. Rhett's father was taking his sister to piano lessons at the time, and upon discovering his son sitting on the piano bench, playing her pieces by ear, he enrolled Rhett in Suzuki violin lessons with Virginia Huckton. After two years of Suzuki training, Rhett got bored and switched to fiddling with Ricky Boen. After Ricky relocated to Branson, Missouri, in 2006, Rhett kept up with his fiddle lessons.
Rhett had been playing the tenor saxophone for over seven years by this point, and he had won first place in every all-region and local band competition he had ever participated in. Although he had begun to focus more on jazz than the school's classical music, he was awarded a scholarship for being chosen for the all-state band all four years in high school. His 'Most Talented' and 'Best Dressed' honors from Greenwood High are still evident in his current shows.
Rhett spent three semesters after graduating from high school studying saxophone with Don LeFevre at West Texas A&M University. Rhett dropped out of West Texas A&M University in the fall of 2008 to pursue violin studies under Christian Howes and Rob Thomas at the esteemed Berklee College of Music.
