Remember Sports Information
Remember Sports hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and plays indie rock music. They started as Sports and have since produced four albums under the Father/Daughter Records banner, formed in Gambier, Ohio. The members of Remember Sports came together in 2012 while they were all students at Gambier, Ohio's Kenyon College. In 2014, they dropped their debut album Sunchokes on Bandcamp. All of Something was Sports' second album, released in 2015 via Father/Daughter Records, which the band had previously signed.
A demo version of Remember Sports' song "Makin' It Right" was made available for download in August of 2016, and it was included in the first volume of the Clearmountain compilation. To prevent being confused with other bands, notably Sports from Oklahoma, the band stated in November 2017 that they were changing their name to Remember Sports from Sports.
The band's third studio album, 2018's Slow Buzz, was released that year. The band covered the Click Five's "Just the Girl" in 2020 for the tribute album Saving for a Custom Van, which honored Adam Schlesinger's life as a musician. "Like a Stone" was the band's fourth studio album, scheduled to be released on April 23, 2021.
