Rauw Alejandro Information
Raúl Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz (January 10, 1993) is a Puerto Rican musician, songwriter, and actor born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He goes by the stage name Rauw Alejandro. Some have called him the "King of Modern Reggaeton," he is one of "the new generation" of urban Puerto Rican performers.
Not only is he the first male Latin musician in the mainstream to ever include choreography in his songs, but he is also famous for his eclectic musical tastes. Alejandro is a top talent in Latin music with an impressive history of four studio albums. In 2022, he was named the tenth most listened artist on Spotify.
With just three years under his belt after releasing Afrodisíaco, he has already won many awards, including two Latin Grammys, two Billboard Latin Music Awards, an iHeart Radio Music Award, and more nominations than that.
Two of his tracks, "Tattoo" and "Fantasias" featuring Farruko, attained their highest place on the US Latin chart in December 2019 when they reached No. 12.
In 2021, Alejandro won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Fusion/Performance for his songs that lingered on the chart for the longest time of his tracks—20 weeks.
