Puscifer Information
Puscifier is an American rock group. The current lineup consists of Mat Mitchell (production, synthesizers, keyboards, bass, and guitar), Carina Round (keyboards, percussions, guitar, and vocals), and Maynard James Keenan (vocals). Puscifer's name previously was Umlaut, "a premiere improvisational hardcore band." The name "Puscifer" was first promoted as a fake band in the first episode of Mr. Show, with Keenan and Adam Jones as members.
Artwork by Jones has been featured on Puscifer gear. Originally released on October 9, 2007, Don't Shoot the Messenger is a four-song EP by Puscifer. Keenan first performed as Puscifer in Las Vegas in February 2009. He kept performing with a shifting cast of musicians throughout the year, but his tour was confined to the Southwestern United States. In support of Conditions of My Parole, Keenan had Puscifer on tour again in the fall and winter of 2011.
This tour covered a greater span of the United States than previous West Coast-only tours. In 2013, Puscifer made their first gigs outside of North America, with the band doing three shows in Australia and appearances at Lollapalooza Brazil and Lollapalooza Chile.
