Polaris Information
Polaris is an Australian metalcore band with a current lineup, including Daniel Furnari (drums), Jamie Hails (unclean), Rick Schneider (rhythm guitar and lead guitar), Jake Steinhauser (clean vocals, rhythm guitar, and bass), and Ryan Siew (lead guitar). The band has worked with popular record labels such as SharpTone and Resist. Polaris released its debut album entitled “The Mortal Coil” on November 3, 2017. It brought success to the band, and the members enjoyed the nomination for the ARIA Award in 2018 for the category of the Best Hard Rock Band.
Polaris is famously known for blending elements of progressive metal and metalcore with post-rock soundscapes and the electronics, melodic hooks at the same time. The band was formed in 2012 by Jake Steinhauser and Daniel Furnari. They met each other at a high school battle of the bands. After spending a short time with each other, they bonded over the same passion for alternative and metal music. After forming the band, the group started to work on writing and recording their debut single entitled “Summit.”
Polaris has released a few notable albums throughout their career, including The Mortal Coil (November 3, 2017) and The death of Me (February 21, 2020). Their two extended play albums include Dichotomy (November 29, 2013) and The Guilt & The Grief (January 29, 2016). Their notable singles include Aspirations (October 2, 2013), Unfamiliar (March 3, 2015), Regress (November 18, 2015), and Consume (July 4, 2017).
