Poison the Well Information
Poison the Well is a metalcore band with a current lineup consisting of Vadim Taver (rhythm guitar), Bradley Grace (bass), Jeffrey Moreira (lead vocals), Christopher Hornbrook (drums), and Ryan Primack (lead guitar). Vocalist Aryeh Lehrer and guitarist Ryan Primack first got together in the fall of 1997 to start the band Doubting Thomas, which eventually evolved into Poison the Well. Saunders' then-girlfriend suggested the name change to An Acre Lost for Doubting Thomas in December 1997.
Poison the Well's debut studio album, The Opposite of December, was recorded between October 2 and 10, 1999. Jeremy Staska returns to Studio 13 to produce A Season of Separation. After Hosein's departure from the band in 1998, the remaining members asked Lehrer to join in on vocals for the song "Not Within Arms Length," for which Hosein had written the lyrics.
After Landsman's departure, he was replaced on the spot by Michael Gordillo. In 2000, Gordillo played his first gig with Poison the Well at New York City's Downtime on October 20. For the better part of 2001, Poison the Well hit the road to promote The Opposite of December... A Season of Separation. Board Festival in Boston, MA; Hellfest in East Syracuse, NY; Monster Fest in Burlington, VT; and Krazy Fest 4 in Louisville, KY were just a few of the places they played.
