Planet of Zeus Information
The Athens, Greece-based heavy rock band Planet of Zeus have been active since 2000, performing at venues as small as living rooms and as large as stadiums across their homeland. Their live shows, which are unpolished but honest and continually developing, have earned them a devoted and intense fan base outside the limits of Greece.
Planet of Zeus was Clutch's main support band for their 2015 Psychic Warfare European Tour after having toured Europe five times in a row and playing at various major festivals (Bloodstock, etc.). There are three albums by Planet of Zeus available. In April 2008, "Eleven the Hard Way" was released by Casket Music/Copro Records (UK). The album was a debut, but it was well-received by critics and fans alike; it was even played on Bruce Dickinson's BBC radio show.
With the release of their sophomore album "Macho Libre" in May 2011 on B-Otherside Records, Planet of Zeus became a popular act in Greece and began generating interest in the band beyond Europe. Since then, their videos for "Leftovers" and "Vanity Suit" have achieved legendary status as official music videos. With their third studio album, "Vigilante" (2014, have drum Records), the band stepped it up a notch and developed their signature sound, which is heavy on riffs and grooves.
