Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija (June 15, 1999) is a Mexican singer and musician. He is professionally known by his stage name, Peso Pluma. He was born in Zapopan, Jalisco. He was raised in Guadalajara. At 15, he picked up a guitar and started learning guitar-playing skills by watching online videos.
After being teased at school, Pluma created songs about her experiences in her diary. After years of working together, cousins Pluma and Roberto "Tito" Laija Garcia have released two live albums: Disco en Vivo (February 21, 2020) and Disco en Vivo, Vol. 2 (July 4, 2020).
At the 2023 Latin American Music Awards in Vegas, Nevada, Pluma had his debut performance on American television, performing "Chanel" with Becky G. Pluma, wanting to experiment with a fresh sound following his previous albums, worked on a new rendition of the Latin reggaeton single "La Bebé" by Mexican singer-songwriter Yng Lvcas on March 17. A collaboration with Raul Vega, "El Belicón" is a corrido hymn released by Pluma on February 4, 2022. The song is a tribute to the local drug culture.
The audience at Coachella on April 14, 2023, was surprised when Becky G brought out Pluma to perform "Chanel" and "PRC" with her.
