Oberhofer Information
Oberhofer is an American band. The group's current lineup consists of Dylan Trelevan, Ben Roth, Zoe Brecher, and Brad Oberhofer. In 2008, the band formed in Brooklyn, New York. Oberhofer studied music composition at New York University after migrating from Tacoma, Washington, to New York City. After experimenting with various possible titles, the young vocalist decided to use his name as the project's title.
Oberhofer self-released his first track, o0Oo0O0o, in 2010 and was quickly invited to tour with Sleigh Bells, Neon Indian, and Matt and Kim. Oberhofer released Away Frm U (sic), and I Could Go in 2011 after a year on the road. The band's next song, Gotta Go/Mahwun, was released in 2011 by independent label White Iris Records in response to the two singles. Oberhofer signed with Glassnote Records to release their debut album shortly after.
Oberhofer toured extensively in favor of Time Capsules II, performing in clubs and festivals. Recent significant appearances include the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival's Mojave Tent in 2012 and the Budweiser stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago on August 5, 2012. On October 13, 2013, they performed at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
