MxPx Information
MxPx is an American punk rock band. The current lineup consists of Chris Adkins, Tom Wisniewski, Yun Ruley, and Mike Herrera. Mike Herrera, Yuri Ruley, and Andy Husted created MxPx in Bremerton, Washington, in July 1992 at fifteen. They played their debut gig in the backyard of Herrera's parents. Herrera, Ruley, and Husted were all South Kitsap High School students in Port Orchard, Washington; Central Kitsap High School was in Silverdale, Washington.
MxPx collaborated with Aaron Sprinkle in Seattle to produce a four-song, 7-inch record. Sprinkle then played the record for Brandon Ebel of Tooth & Nail Records. 1993, the band performed in Herrera's parents' garage for a label showcase. The band members were still in high school when they released their first significant album, Pokinatcha (1994).
On December 23, 2022, during a live-streamed performance, Mike revealed that 2023 would be the release year for his new album. Find A Way Home, the band's upcoming album, was scheduled to be released on August 25, and pre-orders were available on the band's website, as stated on July 6 in an official social media announcement. "Stay Up All Night" was the lead single, and it was released on July 21, along with the music video the previous day. The band has performed multiple virtual live concerts on social media since the album's release, including taking over the pages of other bands like Bowling for Soup, Goldfinger, and Less Than Jake.
