Michael Todd Gordon (stage name Mk.gee) is an American musician renowned for his creative approach to indie, R&B, and lo-fi music. He was born September 27, 1996, in Somers Point, New Jersey, and started playing piano at age six and guitar at age eleven. Mk.gee launched his career in 2017 after relocating to Los Angeles to attend USC, releasing his debut single, “I Know How You Get.” His distinctive sound is compared to the likes of Prince and Frank Ocean.
His first mixtape, A Museum of Contradiction, released in 2020, was hailed as creatively blending R&B, funk, and dream pop. He has since released two EPs, “Pronounced McGee” and “Fool,” in 2018. He released his versatile debut studio album, Two Star & the Dream Police, in February 2024.
In 2025, Mk.gee is still working with prominent artists. He co-wrote and co-produced the song “Daisies” on Justin Bieber's surprise album “Swag” and appeared on the Bon Iver album “Sable, Fable” with the song “From.” His live shows are a memorable experience, and shows at the major festivals such as Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, and Way Out West are a testament to his energetic place in the music industry.
