Mild High Club Information
Mild High Club is a psychedelic pop group. Alexander Brettin formed the group in 2013. He is a Los Angeles-based musician, originally hailing from Chicago. He grew up in the Midwest and started playing the flute while he was in his school band. Brettin studied jazz studies as his major subject at Columbia College in Chicago. Brettin began working on the first album for Mid High School. The album was entitled Timeline. It was released in 2015. In 2016, he released a sophomore album for the group entitled, Skiptracing. Pitchfork reviewed the album, and they stated that Skiptracing is an improved release than Timeline.
Mild High Club waited five years before releasing its new album, Going, Going, Gone. The album was released on September 17, 2021. The album addressed different subjects such as climate change, gun violence, and paranoia.
Mild High Club has released several singles throughout its career, including “Me Myself and Dollar Hell,” “Tesselation,” “Homage,” “A New High,” “Undeniable,” “Note to Self,” “You and Me,” “Head Out,” “Chasing My Tail,” “It’s Over Again,” “Trash Heap,” and “Weeping Willow.”
