Mike Mains & The Branches is an American indie rock band that originated from Gainesville, Texas/Owosso, Michigan. The music of the band is defined as indie-rock. The group consists of Mike and Shannon Mains, along with their newest members; Alex Hirlinger, Robbie Barnett, and Allison Barnett. Mike Mains & The Branches was founded in 2009 by David and Mike. Jacob Burkhart and Shannon Briggs soon joined the two. They released a debut album entitled Home. The album was independently released on June 5, 2012. The group toured for the promotion of their debut album for almost a year. Later, it signed a deal to Platinum Pop Music.
Mike Mains & The Branches is famous for their energetic live performances. The group played the Main Stage at the final year of the Cornerstone Music Festival in 2012. The initial tracks by the band were released on the Everything EP before the beginning of their Fall Tour with The Orphan, The Poet & The American Opera. Calm Down; Everything Is On Fire was a finished sophomore album by the group, released on February 18, 2014. Some of the other notable albums by Mike Mains & The Branches were When We Were In Love (2019), Everything - EP (2013), Around The Corner, and singles Breathing Underwater and Endless Summer.
