Michael DelGuidice is an American multi-instrumentalist, musician, singer, and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. His mother and father used to listen to Barbra Streisand, Billy Joel, and Chicago frequently. As a result, DelGuidice started playing Joel’s music at the age of 13 and would re-watch Joel’s Live from Long Island concert video often. DelGuidice attended Miller Place High School, where he hung out in the music room and practiced Joel, Paul McCartney, and Elton John.
DelGuidice began his official music career by performing in Long Island piano bars and saloons. In the late 1980s, he started singing songs of Billy Joel in one of the Miller Place High School’s vocal jazz bands. Soon he released two albums entitled Miller Place and My Street. DelGuidice founded a band named Big Shot in 2000, which was a tribute to the music of Billy Joel.
