Mauricio Ochmann (November 16, 1977) is an American and Mexican actor. He was born in Washington, D.C. Mauricio's early involvement in performance-related activities and works reflected his developing interest in the field. Still, it wasn't until he was 16 that he earned his first professional shot on Héctor Suárez's La Otra Cosa television show. After completing his schooling in the City of Angels, he was cast in a supporting role in the film Message in a Bottle, starring alongside Kevin Costner and Robin Wright.
His debut telenovela, Azul Tequila, starring him and Bárbara Mori, premiered in 1998 and was produced by actor and producer Humberto Zurita and his wife Cristian Bach. Elisa Salinas casts him and Danna Garcia in the telenovela Háblame de Amor the next year.
After starting on television, he decided to try acting in stage productions instead. His first major role was in the play "Equus," for which he received numerous accolades, including the "Actor Revelation in Theater" award from the National Society of Critics in the Arts. Returning to Los Angeles in 2000, he filmed an episode of Diane Ruggiero's That's Life. In 2003, he appeared in the follow-up telenovela Mirada de mujer, el regreso.
