Matute Information
Matute is a Mexican pop band that recreates classic songs uniquely. In 2007, Jorge D'Alessio took control of the group. Generally, they perform a medley of Spanish and English 80s hits. The band had moved past the moment they played their first participatory concert, "Graduation Nights," to an intimate audience of only nine individuals. Their "Matute" moniker was inspired by a member of "Don Gato and his Gang."
Matute collaborated with a well-known Mexican singer, Belinda, on "Get Out of My Skin" recording in November of 2008. They made their debut release in 2009, titled "Ochenterizzimo." They also played in Brazil on November 3, 2009, as the opening act. The band was there to back up Anahi, a Mexican singer, on his Mi Delirio World Tour. The concert in Monterrey, Mexico, on July 23, was the final stop on this tour.
The first live album by Matute was named "Matute Live." The album was made available for digital purchase. In Mexico, it was awarded two gold discs. Matute began its "La Matutera Tour" in the same city nationwide. The trip took them to several cities in the United States and Mexico. The "Boombox Tour" started on November 17, 2016.
In 2017, they went back into the recording studio. They came out with an album titled Poderes de los Duetos Fantásticos Activense!, which featured collaborations with various musicians. At the beginning of 2017, the album was the most popular in Mexico.
