Lime Cordiale Information
Lime Cordiale is an Australian pop-rock band. The group's current lineup consists of Louis Leimbach, Oli Leimbach, James Jennings, Tim Fitz, Felix Bornholdt, and Nicholas Polovineo. The brothers Louis Stanley Leimbach (bass guitar, trumpet, vocals, and kazoo) and Oliver Jay "Oli" Leimbach (guitar, clarinet, vocals) founded Lime Cordiale in September 2009 in Sydney as a duo.
Iva Davies, lead singer of Icehouse, saw the duo perform at a competition and offered to mentor them in exchange for studio time. Lime Cordiale opened for Icehouse on their 2011 tour.
Lime Cordiale released their debut EP Faceless Cat in July 2012, featuring the hit "Pretty Girl," and was distributed by MGM. According to Larry Heath of the AU Review, who caught the band live, the song features "a good dose of clarinet to mix in with their signature blend of pop, rock, jazz," among other styles.
Chugg Music/MGM Distribution released Lime Cordiale's second five-song EP Falling Up the Stairs, in September 2013; it was produced by Daniel Denholm and featured the hits "Bullshit Aside" and "Sleeping at Your Door." Champion Jennings, the Leimbach brothers, and Tim Fitz (guitar, keyboards) formed a five-piece for the EP.
