Liam Gallagher Information
William John Paul Gallagher (September 21, 1972) is an English singer and songwriter. He is commonly known as Liam Gallagher and was born in Manchester, England. While growing up in Didsbury, Gallagher attended St. Bernard's RC Primary School and Barlow Roman Catholic High School. Contrary to popular belief, he was suspended for three months rather than expelled for fighting when he was sixteen. After that, he returned to school and finished his last term in 1990, earning four GCSEs.
On January 4, 2016, Gallagher tweeted his disapproval of the prospect of a solo career. Later that year, though, he announced in an interview with Q that he would release solo songs in 2017. He insisted that this was not a solo career but the release of songs he had composed over the years. November 2016 saw the announcement of a solo performance at Bergenfest in 2017, with other festival engagements confirmed for the summer of 2017.
Gallagher said on October 16, 2023, that he will be performing the entire album, along with some of the B-sides from the songs, on a tour to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of Maybe on June 20, 2024. Gallagher confirmed on November 21, 2023, that he would be the headlining act for TRNSMT on July 12, 2024. The planned album's lead track, "Just Another Rainbow," was released on January 5, 2024. It was Gallagher's highest-charting solo song, debuting at number sixteen on the UK Singles Chart Top 100.
