Laundry Day Information
Laundry Day is a pop rock band with the current lineup of the group consisting of Jason Stouffer (piano), Henry Pearl (bass), Etai Abramovich (drums), Henry Weingartner (guitar), Jude Ciulla (vocals), and Sawyer Nunes (guitar and vocals). Beacon High School in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan is where longtime friends Sawyer Nunes and Jude Ciulla started making music together.
Nunes had been seen on Broadway before, having starred as George Llewelyn Davies in the original production of Finding Neverland and as Ricky in the Broadway revival of Gettin' the Band Back Together. As a result of the success of the first song the two wrote together, they were soon joined by fellow students and friends Henry Weingartner and Etai Abramovich. Soon after, Henry Pearl, another Beacon pal, joined the group.
In March 2018, Laundry Day's first full-length, Trumpet Boy, was released independently under the label Polo and Fomo. In the same month, the album was released, they set off on their first national tour, dubbed the All My Friends Tour, to promote the record. Homesick, their second studio album, came out in March of 2019. The album was largely recorded at Shangri-La Studios and co-produced by Brockhampton's Romil Hemnani. The band's 2019 performances included the Austin City Limits Music Festival in October and Tyler the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in November.
