LANY Information
Lany Is an American pop-rock band. The current lineup consists of Paul Jason Klein and Jake Clifford Goss. Paul Jason Klein, who had a modest solo career, met Jake Goss and Les Priest in Nashville in March 2014 to establish LANY. Later that year, they released their debut EP, Acronyms, with the song "ILYSB" becoming an online sensation with over 100,000 views.
The group's identity was revealed, and subsequent singles "Made in Hollywood" and "Bad, Bad, Bad" were released. LANY released the deluxe edition of Mama's Boy on February 4, 2021, which included three new versions of songs: "Heart Won't Let Me" (a stripped-down version), "Sad" (also stripped down), and "I Still Talk to Jesus" (a live version). The band announced Les Priest's departure as keyboardist on April 7, 2022. Priest left "to focus on life as a writer/producer in Nashville."
Instead of finding a replacement, the group's surviving two members chose to carry on as a duet. A Beautiful Blur, LANY's fifth studio album, is set for release on September 29, 2023. The album was confirmed on May 29, 2023. "Love At First Fight" was released as a single on June 7.
