Kyle Hollingsworth Information
Kyle Hollingsworth (March 2, 1968) is an American rock keyboard player best known for playing in The String Cheese Incident. He was born in Maryland and attended Towson State University, where Hollingsworth majored in music and focused on jazz piano. Hollingsworth has also played in the rock band “Black Friday,” based in Baltimore, though he later moved to Boulder, Colorado. Hollingsworth has written several songs for The String Cheese Incident.
Hollingsworth toured with his band, “Kyle Hollingsworth Band.” He has toured under the names 3 Foot Icon and Kyle Hollingsworth & Friends. He released his debut solo album entitled “Never Odd or Even” in 2008. The album featured saxophonist Joshua Redman and Robert Randolph. Hollingsworth toured once again in 2007; he was with The Mickey Hart Band that featured Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, George Porter Jr., and Steve Kimock.
On September 15, 2009, Kyle released his second album entitled “Then There’s Now.” The album featured Dave Watts, Damien Hines, DJ Logic, Garrett Sayers, and Ryan Jalbert. In 2014, the third album by Kyle came out entitled “Speed of Life.” This album featured hit tracks, including “Falling Through The Cracks” and “You’ve Got The World.” He released a fourth album, “50,” which was the 12-track album, featuring hits such as “Stuff” and “All Falls Apart.” Most recently, in 2020, he released another album entitled “2020”.
