The Kris Lager Band is a rock band from Omaha, NE. The music of the group is defined as Revivalist Rock and Heavy Soul & Boogie Trance. The current lineup of the band is Kris Lager on Guitar & Vox, John Fairchild AKA Scooby Shabobo on Drums/ Beatbox, Freestyles, Mike Lefever on Sax, and Derek Tucker on Bass. The Kris Lager Band is said to be a vehicle for Kris Lager’s unique brand of original music. The band’s music cannot be categorized in any one genre but can be well-explained as ‘Feel Good Music.’
The founding man of the band, Kris, is truly a one of a kind performer who hits the stage with a mission. The Kris Lager Band has recently released a new self-produced recording titled ‘Rise and Shine.’ The album was created at their home studio in LaVista, Nebraska, entitled Studio Blue. The album is full of some live staples and feels good KLB anthems including ‘The Shimmy,’ ‘Rise Up,’ ‘Hot Damn,’ “I Got Love,’ and ‘Ain’t That Just The Way it Goes.’ Some of the other singles included are ‘Shake it On Down’ and ‘Please Don’t Break Me Down.’
Some of the notable guest appearances on the recent release are vocalist extraordinaire and Omaha living legend Brad Cordle, Mama Lenny from Mama Lenny & The Remedy fame, young diva Haley Marie and a few more. The band also released some other notable discographies such as The Mighty Quinn ?(CD, Album) and Transient ?(CD, Album).
