Clover's music has the high-octane ferocity, and crackling intensity of a born killer's hands lifted in defiance. Clover, who looked up to artists like Patti Smith and Iggy Pop, learned to play "Chinese Rocks" by Johnny Thunders and penned her first song after transferring to an art school. Though she honed her skills in several groups, she ultimately decided to strike out independently to pursue autonomy and complete creative freedom. She had left her previous bands and was looking for a fresh start in 2019. She went to Mexico City for inspiration and solace from her life in the United States and found it instead.
