Jonathan Caleb McReynolds (September 17, 1989) is an American gospel musician. He was hailed as one of the leaders of the new school of the gospel. McReynolds was born in Chicago, Illinois. When he was five years old, he learned to play the drums, and at the age of eight, he learned to play the piano. He used to perform weekly as a church musician. McReynolds was initially a reluctant singer. He began to break out of this shell while he was in high school. He eventually started to sing in front of the public. McReynolds attended Whitney Young Magnet High School. He showcased his musical talent and also learned how to record and produce the music.
McReynolds began his music career in 2012. He released “Life Music” on September 25, 2012. It was by Entertainment One Music and Light Records. The release became a breakthrough for his career because it has reached on the Billboard charts as well as peaked at number 98 on Billboard 200. The album also reached number 3 and number 23 on the Independent Albums chart. His viral smash was his track entitled “No Gray” that brought him on television.
McReynolds released his second album called “Life Music: Stage Two,” which received a Grammy Award nomination and reached number 1 on the Billboard Gospel album for almost four weeks. The album won the GMA Dove Award. So far, the most significant success for Jonathan is his latest album named “Make Room.” The album earned him eight Stellar Awards and two Grammy Award nominations. Make Room also debuted at number one position on Billboard Gospel Charts. He received massive support from different significant artists such as Kandi Burruss and Justin Bieber as well as millions of listeners.
