Jon Wayne and the Pain, or JWP, is an American four-piece Twin-Cities Minnesota Rockers. The group is best known for innovating catchy riddims, heightened with conscious lyrics, and acoustic-electronic dub. The band has been warming its audience's hearts with a hearty dash of conscious lyricism, fused with uplifting roots-driven beats, and the quartet's signature cosmic-blend of electronic beats for over a decade.
JWP has already carved a sizable niche for its electronic and reggae-rock genres. The members go on coast-to-coast road-warrior tours, playing more than one hundred and thirty shows per year, which is more than welcomed by their fans. So far, the quartet has two sold-out shows that they performed at the Cabooze, having 1,000 attendees. Recently they had more than 800 fans gathered at the famed First Avenue located in Minneapolis, which was for their CD release party.
JWP has also performed at several national and the most renowned art and music festivals, including Wakarusa, Shangri-La, Cali Roots, Summer Camp, and Electric Forest.
