Jocelyn and Chris Arndt Information
Jocelyn and Chris, two siblings from Upstate New York, play blues-rock music. Jocelyn is the lead vocalist and pianist, while Chris handles the lead and rhythm guitar duties. As a brother-sister duo, they compose all of their songs together. Both Jocelyn and Chris are native New Yorkers; they spent their childhoods in the rural community of Fort Plain. Both children started taking piano lessons when they were in elementary school. After acquiring her first electric keyboard in fourth grade, Jocelyn began formal piano training. A short time afterward, Chris took up guitar and started taking lessons.
Eventually, Jocelyn and Chris took their act to local talent events, fairs, and festivals. At the age of 12 and 11, Jocelyn and Chris sang a cover of "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin for the first time in public at a local charity talent show. They called themselves "The Dependents" and started playing together in middle school. Producer/manager David Bourgeois saw them play under this name at the Fonda Fair in Fonda, New York. In 2013, the duo moved to Albany, New York, to negotiate a development deal with Bourgeois' Bridge Road Entertainment, a music development firm.
Since then, Jocelyn & Chris have published several albums and EPs through Bridge Road Entertainment, including three studio albums (Edges, Go, and The Fun in the Fight), two live albums (30,000 Miles and One Night in November), and two EPs (Strangers in Fairyland and Still: A Holiday Collection). Favorite Ghosts, their fourth studio album, was released in June 2022.
