Jesse James Dupree (September 22, 1962) is an American television personality, musician, and businessman from Kennesaw, Georgia. He plays hard rock and Southern rock music. Dupree is the lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist in the rock band Jackyl, founded in 1991. The self-titled debut album by the group was released in 1992, which earned platinum certification quickly. The group is praised for its heavy touring schedule in a variety of music venues. It also appeared on Full Throttle Saloon, a TruTV’s reality television series.
Dupree is known for using chainsaws as an instrument during the songs “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “The Lumberjack.” Dupree released his debut solo project in 2000, Foot Fetish. The project was issued on V2 Records. “Mainline” was a single included in this album that hit number 34 on the U.S. Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. In 2008, Dupree released “Rev It Up and Go-Go,” a project under Jesse James Dupree & Dixie Inc.
Dupree found a partnership with Michael Ballard, owner of Full Throttle Saloon. The pair created a reality show that covered the most extensive biker bar operations in the U.S.
