Ivy Queen (March 4, 1972) is originally known as Martha Ivelisse Pesante Rogriguez. Ivy Queen is her professional name. She is a rapper, record producer, songwriter, actress, and Puerto Rican singer. Queen was born in Anasco, Puerto Rican. Later, she moved to New York with her parents. She has never graduated from high school. Queen Studied music at the New Jersey School of Performing Arts. She moved to San Juan at the age of 18, where she met producer and rapper DJ Negro.
Queen joined an All-male Puerto Rican group that was called “The Noise.” That was joint at the invitation of DJ Negro. DJ Negro began producing a series of CDs centered around The Noise. Queen made her appearance on the fifth installment of the CD series. The track is called “Somos Raperos Pero No Delincuentes.” In 1997, Queen released her first solo album, “En Mi Imperio.” The album featured the single that went hit called “Como Mujer.” She launched her second album in the year 1998 entitled “The Original Rude Girl.”
Queen released her third studio album “Diva” in 2003. “Quiero Bailar” was the most hit single of the album. The collection also got certified platinum by RIAA. She released the platinum edition of the record in the year 2004. This edition got the nomination for “Reggaeton Album of the Year.” It was at the 2005 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
Queen has released several studio albums so far throughout her music career, including Real (2004), Sentimiento (2007), Drama Queen (2010), Musa (2012), and Vendetta (2015).
