Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble are an Italian operatic pop trio known as Il Volo, formed in 2009. They combine classical opera with pop music to create "popera." Their global fame came in 2015 when they won the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Grande amore" and represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest the same year.
However, this album represents a momentous occasion. It's their first completely original album, cooperatively released last March 2024. The trio's musical growth and versatility are displayed on the 11-track album, which includes a cover of Queen's "Who Wants To Live Forever."
Il Volo is looking ahead to a North American tour in February 2025 and will perform in New York and Atlantic City, among other places. Their blend of classical influences and modern pop keeps on bewitching the music industry's global audience.
