Hyphen Hyphen is a French electronic pop-rock band that sings in English, created in Nice in 2011. The current lineup of the band consists of Santa (vocals), Line (bass), and Adam (guitar). Adam and Santa have known each other since childhood, while the other two members met in high school. In 2011, their friendship converted into the birth of Hyphen. Hyphen means “link” in Greek.
Hyphen Hyphen wanted to forge a healthy relationship and bond between them as well as their audience that was exceeding their expectations with every concert. The band released their debut extended play entitled “Chewbacca I’m Your Mother,” which was released in March 2011.
Hyphen Hyphen released its second extended play album in 2012, entitled “Wild Union.” The second extended play of the band mainly featured Synthesizers. The group has played at numerous music events since its creation and has also won the ADAMI prize, the FAIR, and the Best Live award in 2013.
The band has released three notable studio albums, including Times (2015), Times & Livers (2016), and HH (2018). Their notable singles include “Just Need Your Love,” “Cause I Got a Chance,” “Stand Back,” “We Light the Sunshine,” “Like Boys,” “Lonely Baby,” and a few more. The group also released another charting song named “Be High with Me” in 2018.
