Homeshake Information
Homeshake is a Canadian solo musical project of Montreal-based musician, singer, and songwriter Peter Sagar. The project features contributions from Brad Loughead, Greg Napier, and Mark Goetz. Homeshake was started in 2012. Sagar left Mac DeMarco’s live band in 2014 to fully focus on the Homeshake project. He initially signed a record deal with Fixture Records and released a debut cassette in January 2013 entitled The Homeshake Tape. In October 2013, he released another one entitled, Dynamic Meditation. His music incorporates different genres such as R&B, dream pop, lo-fi, synthpop, and hypnagogic pop.
In 2014, Homeshake released its first full-length debut studio album entitled, In the Shower. Other studio albums that Sagar released under his project include Midnight Snack (September 18, 2015), Fresh Air (February 3, 2017), Helium (February 15, 2019), and Under The Weather (2021). In 2019, Homeshake also released a remix album, Helium Remixes. The only EP released by the project so far is entitled, Haircut in 2020.
Notable hit singles of the Homeshake project include “Making a Fool of You,” “Cash Is Money,” “I Don’t Play,” “Heat,” “Faded,” “Give It to Me,” “Call Me Up,” “Every Single Thing,” “Like Mariah,” “Nothing Could Be Better,” “Just Like Me,” “Another Thing,” “Sesame,” and “I Know I Know I Know.”
