Haruna Kimishima is a Japanese poetry rapper, songwriter, and singer known by her stage name Haru Nemuri. Her musical styles mix with influences from electronica, hard rock, rap, and J-pop. Nemuri is currently based in Tokyo though she grew up in the Isogo Ward of Yokohama, Japan. Nemuri became interested in writing songs while she was studying in college.
Nemuri began her music as a player of synthesizers in a band while she was just 17. At the age of 21, she suddenly began playing as a poetry rapper. Since then, Nemuri has been called the ultimate singing weapon. Nemuri released her debut album entitled “Haru to Shura” in 2018. The album gained her international attention. She released a single on January 10, 2020, entitled “Fanfare” with the video of the single having been shot under extreme temperatures over the frozen Amur River in Russia.
After beginning her musical career, Nemuri got a chance to perform at a Japanese summer music festival called “BAYCAMP2016.” In 2018, Nemuri released her first extended play entitled “Kick in the World” and 2020, she released another album LOVETHEISM.
