Haiku Hands Information
Australia's Sydney and Melbourne are the birthplaces of the alternative dance electronic music ensemble Haiku Hands. Mataya Young, Claire Nakazawa, and Beatrice Lewis comprise the rest of the group, including Mie Nakazawa and performance member Claire Nakazawa. Lewis and the Nakazawa sisters are originally from Sydney, while Lewis was born and raised in Melbourne. The band participated in a nationwide tour with Groovin' The Moo and Listen Out (the festival).
Splendour in the Grass, St. Jerome's Laneway Festival, Wonderland Scarehouse Tour, WOMADelaide, Pitch Festival, and Party in the Paddock are just a few of the festivals they have performed at. During their tours of Australia, Flight Facilities and Bloc Party have been supported by Haiku Hands. They embarked on a tour with Sofi Tukker in 2019.
