Gary Burr Information
Gary Burr is an American record producer, songwriter, and musician. He was born in Meriden, Connecticut. The first of his songs to reach the top 10 was "Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me," which was recorded by Juice Newton and peaked at number 7 on Billboard's Hot 100 in 1982. After Vince Gill left Pure Prairie League, he joined the band and stayed until 1985.
Although Burr has continued performing and is a member of the Blue Sky Riders, he relocated to Nashville to concentrate on his songwriting career. He has written or co-authored songs recorded by numerous country music acts (The Oak Ridge Boys, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless, etc.) as well as a few pop and rock acts (Juice Newton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Lisa Loeb).
Burr has produced various songs and albums, such as Olivia Newton-Back John's with a Heart and Disney Records' The Best of Country Sing the Best of Disney. Burr plays the fiddle for the country music group Blue Sky Riders, including Kenny Loggins and Georgia Middleman (whom he married in 2012). On January 29, 2013, they dropped their first full-length album, Finally Home.
