Gabe Dixon is an American singer and musician based in Nashville. Fans soon fell in love with his songwriting skills and with him when he emerged for the first time in 1999. Dixon essentially started his career by playing the grand piano. Later on, during the production of Turns To Gold, he performed all the instruments and only one song on an upright piano. The first single for his album entitled “Holding Her Freedom” coasted between Dixon’s vocal performance, rumble, organ, and piano. The single also conveyed the cinematic narrative. The lyrics were about a woman who was burned by love and afraid to let herself be vulnerable and fall in love again.
Gabe Dixon Band is a trio formed by Dixon. The group is best-known as a no-guitar trio. He plays all of the instruments except guitar in the group. The band released its debut album entitled “More Than It Would Seem” in 1999. “On a Rolling Ball” followed in 2002. “Live at World Café” was another release, followed by more releases in 2005 and later, “The Gabe Dixon Band” in 2008.
