Foy Vance Information
Foy Vance (1974) is an Irish musician, singer, and songwriter. He is also signing a record deal with Ed Sheeran’s Gingerbread Main label. He has toured as a supporting act for Sheeran. Vance’s music has also been featured on several television shows so far. He released his debut album entitled, Hope on July 21, 2007. The album was self-released through Wurdamouth Records. The album received much critical acclaim within the United Kingdom due to its “Two Shades of Hope.” It also contained a hidden recording of Vance’s daughter, Ella, singing “You Are My Sunshine” at the end. The pianist for the album was London-based composer Jules Maxwell.
Vance released his second studio full-length album entitled Joy of Nothing in August 2013, produced by Irish arranger and producer Michael Keeney. The album also met critical praise. Vance didn’t stop here and came up with his third studio album, The Wild Swan, in May 2016. It was mixed and produced by Jacquire King. Soon after the release of the album, it was announced that Vance would be supporting Elton John on selected tour dates in June, whereas Josh Groban in July and August.
Vance also appeared as Andrew Strong of The Commitments on the TV talent show entitled, Stars in Their Eyes on June 4, 1994. He was also used in many of The CW series, Beauty and the Beast’s episodes. Other albums that he released include From Muscle Schoals (June 28, 2019), To Memphis (September 6, 2019), and Signs of Life (September 10, 2021).
