Flor is an American indie band. The current group lineup comprises Kyle Hill, Dylan Bauld, and Zach Grace. Zach Grace's early forays into electronic music-making software in Hood River, Oregon, were the impetus for the band's inception. Flor met photographer/designer Jade Ehlers after relocating to Los Angeles, and she provided creative direction for the band's visual identity. After debuting with the internet single "Heart" in 2014, the band followed it up in October with the release of the Sounds EP.
In 2016, after Flor's full-length Sights & Sounds was released in 2015, she signed with Fueled by Ramen, who republished the Sounds EP in February of that year—the release of their first album. The release date of you're hiding was May 19, 2017. On March 23, a tweet hinted at the album's title, and on March 24, another Twitter confirmed it. "guarded" is the first single from the album, and it came out on the same day as the album itself.
Flor dropped their new single, "Slow Motion," on March 8, 2019. Ley Lines, their second studio album, was revealed on July 10. The album's September 6, 2019 release features twelve tracks. The EP reinvented, featuring fresh renditions of four of the band's most popular songs and one cover, was released in early 2020. On December 1, 2021, they released a cover of the Christmas standard "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" as a single. In 2021, this was the only music the band put out.
