Flogging Molly Information
Dave King, an Irish singer who had previously been in the hard rock band Fastway, assembled seven members of the Celtic punk band Flogging Molly in Los Angeles in 1995. Their label, Borstal Beat Records, is their contract.
Dave King, a native of Dublin, was the lead singer of the heavy metal band Fastway during the early to mid-1980s, featuring guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke of Motörhead. Later, in 1991, he was the lead singer and guitarist for a hard rock band named Katmandu, which also featured Mandy Meyer of Krokus.
In addition to their seven studio albums (Life Is Good, Within a Mile of Home, Anthem, Speed of Darkness, Swagger, Drunken Lullabies, Float) and their platinum-certified acoustic/live DVD/cd combo Whiskey on a Sunday, Flogging Molly has released an independent live album called Alive Behind the Green Door via 26f Records.
Their resume includes appearances at Larry Kirwan's American Fléadh Festival, the Warped Tour, and Rock Against Bush. As of December 6, 2006, they have sold over 1.5 million copies of their recorded product.
The band revealed the 2018 itinerary for their cruise on August 21, 2017, and it departed from Miami on April 20–23, including stops in Key West and Great Stirrup Cay. The Norwegian Sky has replaced the Enchantment of the Seas, the originally planned vessel for the 2017 voyage.
