Paul Nicholas Fisher is a music producer from Australia who goes by the stage name FISHER. He got a pair of nominations for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards—one for Best Dance Recording and one for Best Dance Release—for his solo effort "Losing It" in 2018.
Fisher was a World Qualifying Series competitor in competitive surfing before she started a music career. He was a member of the DJ combo Cut Snake. Leigh "Sedz" Sedley, a fellow surfer, was instrumental in forming the group. While competing on the pro surfing circuit, the two began DJing together.
In subsequent years, Fisher began releasing dance music recordings alone by the moniker Fisher. The first song, "Ya Kidding," was published by Fisher in June 2017, and the EP "Oi Oi" with the singles "Stop It" and "Ya Didn't" was released in November 2017.
As of its release on May 10, 2019, Fisher's "You Little Beauty" had been his second Dance Club Songs chart-topper. When it came time for Triple J's 2019 Hottest 100, "You Little Beauty" was 52nd.
The lead single from Fisher's 2020 extended play "Freaks" was released on March 20, 2020. Along with the second song, "Wanna Go Dancin'," the EP was released on March 31.
