The members of Everyone Orchestra, an American improvising band, are always changing. Every performance of Everyone Orchestra features entirely new music produced through guided improvisational musical exploration and audience engagement.
Matt Butler, a musician, activist, and conductor, is at the helm of Everyone Orchestra. Butler conceived the concept in 2001 after spending the '90s traversing the country as the drummer and percussionist with the touring band Jambay.
The Everyone Orchestra has played at some of the country's most prestigious summer music festivals and innumerable one-off concerts and charity events. In addition to the music, shows may also feature live painting and performance artists. Members of the Grateful Dead, Phish, the String Cheese Incident, The Flecktones, ALO, Tea Leaf Green, Living Colour, and the Dave Mathews Band have all been in Everyone Orchestra performances.
Everyone Orchestra has helped non-profits, and environmental groups nationwide collect over $100,000 through benefit concerts and concert tours.
