El Dasa Information
Dasahev López Saavedra (July 27, 1989) is a Mexican singer, professionally known by his stage name, El Dasa. He was born in the Sonara city of Hermosillo. His career highlights include being nominated for Latin Grammy Awards on two occasions. El Dasa was the lead singer of Banda Costa Azul from Hermosillo, Sonora, when he was 15 years old. Last year, he competed in Mexico's La Academia 6: Ultima Generación last year, but was eliminated in the second round. At 18, he moved to Los Angeles and was hired as a driver by Vicente Fernandez, where El Dasa would perform for his idol.
El Dasa's singing impacted the Mexican superstar so much that he invited him on stage with him at the Gibson Amphitheater to perform "Amor de Los Dos" and encouraged the audience to support his career. El Vato, a series produced by NBC Universo and based on the true story of El Dasa, the series' main character, was published in 2016. The new season of EL VATO on NBC Universo will premiere in August 2017.
