El Chacal Information
El Chacal, a popular reggaeton artist from Cuba, was born Ramon Lavado Martinez in Havana in 1986. A child of Havana's booming '90s hip-hop scene, Martinez began rapping and producing his music at a young age. By the mid-2000s, he was well established in a career as a professional musician, having dropped out of school to work with several bands, including his own Los Chivos, before joining the more well-known Clan 537. In 2009, he went out on his own after years of traveling, recording with Clan 537, and collaborating with major players in the Cuban reggaeton scene.
Reporte, his first album, was released in the same year, followed by El Clave the following year. El Chacal's career took off in a big way during the next few years, with many singles, guest spots, and even a few collaborations with other singers like Yakarta and Pitbull. After releasing 2015's Receta de Amor, the band released 2016's Los Exitos. In 2017, he released many songs, the most notable of which are "La Costumbre," "El Pase," and "Culpables."
