Ego Mechanics Information
Ego Mechanics is an American rock duo. The group’s current lineup consists of Seth Arp (vocals and guitar) and Jonathan Ross (drums and vocals). The duo has hailed from Chicago, Illinois. Ego Mechanics combines raw and melody to craft songs that take everyone back to the glory days of instrument-based DIY musicianship. The band cites Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, and Jack White as their influences from alt-rock heavyweights.
In October 2016, Ego Mechanics released its debut EP entitled “Wreck.” The EP was a collection of raw blues songs. All the songs included on the EP showed the capability of the duo. The group released another single entitled “Burnt Orange” in December 2017. It was seen in the single that the band elaborated their gritty sound while keeping space for expansion.
In June 2020, Ego Mechanics released its second EP entitled, This Other Side. The EP was produced by Grammy award-winning engineer named Chris Steinmetz. Some notable singles of the duo include “Moonlight Dies,” “Doormat Waltz,” “Old Cat,” “Rubik’s Cube,” “Worship You,” “Keep it in Mind,” and “Wreck.”
