Drug Church Information
Drug Church is an American post-hardcore band. The current lineup consists of Patrick Nguyen (bass), Chris Villeneuve (drums), Patrick Kindlon (vocals), Cory Galusha (guitar), and Nick Cogan (guitar). Patrick Kindlon, the lead singer of the band Self Defense Family, launched Drug Church as a side gig. The band got signed to No Sleep Records in early 2012 after releasing a three-song demo online in 2011. And in 2018, they launched their "Cheer" album after Drug Church joined Pure Noise Records.
On March 11, 2022, Pure Noise Records published the band's fourth studio album, titled "Hygiene," following the release of the lead song "Miles of Fun" and the follow-up "Detective Lieutenant." The band's sound is best described as "post-punk/post-hardcore." It combines aspects of hardcore punk in the vein of acts like Black Flag with alternative rock and grunge. They write songs with dark, sarcastic lyrics that often address social issues.
