Disco Risqué was founded in 2014 by a few longtime friends. Affectionately known as “dr,” amongst their fans, the band’s style is defined as funk, rock, and pop. The constructing lineup of the group included Charlie Murchie (lead guitar) and Robert Prescott (drums and vocals). The other substantial members include Ryan “swimsuit” Calonder (trumpet, guitar, vocals), Andrew “champ” Hollifield (bass, vocals), Charlie “Honeyman” Murchie (guitar, vocals), Sean “known for his music” Hodge (keys, vocals), and Robert “slim” Prescott (drums, vocals).
Disco Risqué is a unique ensemble whose aggressive riffs, catchy lyrics, and danceable beats can take any listener to a bright sonic party right in their heads. Being a polished musical experience, the group has been working hard to bring their fans some real fat tracks and rockin shows. The band made its debut in 2016 with an eponymous album. Their latest release, entitled “d3p,” exposed its growth as a full-fledged studio band. The group members were on a frequent touring schedule during this release.
Recently, Disco Risqué has performed up and down the east coast, playing thrilling music from Georgia to New Hampshire. The group founders and other members are strongly committed to bringing a top-of-the-line professional funky rock n roll dance party to their fans, no matter where they perform.
