Crowder Information
David Wallace Crowder (November 29, 1971) is a multi-instrumentalist, author, singer, and composer from the U.S. who has professionally performed under the mononymous stage name Crowder since 2012, born in Texarkana, Texas. Formed in 2012 under Sixstepsrecords and Sparrow Records labels, he began his solo career after serving as lead singer for the now-defunct David Crowder Band.
His debut solo effort, 2014's Neon Steeple, came out on May 27. Released as the album's lead song on November 25, 2013, "I Am" by Crowder reached No. 3 on the Christian Songs list. Crowder released two solo albums in 2016 and 2018, the first being American Prodigal and I Know a Ghost, respectively. On June 11, 2021, his fourth solo effort, Milk & Honey, was published.
Jam Nation's Winter Jam Tour, which featured Crowder, Katy Nichole, Newsong, and Christian musician CAIN, began in January 2024. After releasing the tune "[DASH]" with TobyMac, Crowder announced the release of his new album, The Exile, on April 5, 2024. The album was released on May 31, 2024.
